Directed by Jonathan L. Green
Jean is in her seventies, recently divorced, and ready to shake things up. She recruits her two best friends since forever and an intern, a precocious college-bound girl from down the street, to design a bold plan for the next chapter of their lives. They plot the future together inside Jean’s garage, formerly the domain of a locally famous Bruce Springsteen cover band fronted by their ex-husbands. After a lifetime of following other people’s rules, they are faced with the exhilarating prospect of making their own. HERLAND is a play about women growing up, growing old, and living life to the beat of Bruce Springsteen’s greatest hits.
