March 13: Backstage at the Biograph - Lettie

Victory Gardens Theater: BACKSTAGE AT THE BIOGRAPH
A free event series that takes you behind-the-scenes for an in-depth look at a unique aspect of the rehearsal process! Then, enjoy complimentary wine, beer and snacks as you mingle with members of the cast and design team in the Victory Gardens Theater lobby.

Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 7:00-9:00pm
at Victory Gardens Theater | 2433 North Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL 60614

Playwright Boo Killebrew's world-premiere play Lettie asks the title character to come to terms with her life, her family, and her hometown after serving seven years in prison. Next Tuesday, view an exclusive glimpse into the rehearsal process as the cast of Lettie shares a scene from the production during one of their very first rehearsals. Then, join us for a conversation with Judy Royal of the Center for Wrongful Convictions For Women and Kristine Bush of Justis4Justus as we discuss how we, as citizens, grapple with the U.S prison system and what happens when it fails us. We'll explore the answers to these questions in an evening of creativity, discussion, and theatre.

FREE and open to the public. Space is limited. RSVP is required. Click here to reserve a seat. For questions, please email or call 773.871.3000.
