April 22: Church of the New Play: Bill Daniel (Reading)
|Prop Thtr presents new play reading by Bill Daniel |
Church of The New Play is a weekly reading series featuring new work by local Chicago writers, devisers, and text generators of all performance forms. In each session, a new piece is read or presented followed by a talkback tailored to the artists' needs. This is an alternative to a script submission policy in that it gives creators' the space to present their work as it's meant to be experienced: live and out loud.

Church of the New Play presents...Hell Followed With Herby Bill Daniel
Synopsis: A western with violence and music, following Willow Parker, a singer turned bounty hunter on the hunt for the killer who took everything from her. On one particularly fateful day, in a small Texas saloon, Willow catches up with her past, and confronts the man who wronged her. But he's not interested in her revenge...because he's just found the legendary gunfighter he's been chasing across Texas. Before this triangle of fame and vengeance can be realized, hell literally breaks loose, trapping the denizens of the saloon in a fight for survival.
