Grand Prize recipient at the 2021 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, the Boston-based Balourdet Quartet has also garnered top prizes in the 2020 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the 2021 Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition. “With bows flying and notes swirling, this quartet has a bright future ahead,” predicts the Ponca City News. The quartet has appeared at the Aspen Music Festival, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, and Santa Fe ProMusica. Highlights of their 2022-23 season included performances at Chamber Music Detroit, New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall, Merkin Hall, and Wigmore Hall.
