The DePaul Opera Theatre presents their fall opera production – Everlasting Faint – a modern American opera with music by Scott Gendel and a libretto by Sandra Flores-Strand. The opera delves into the true tragic tale of Elva Heaster Shue, silenced by domestic violence in 1897 in Greenbrier, WV. Under the program direction of faculty member, Nicholas Hutchinson, the opera is directed by George Cederquist with Catherine O’Shaughnessy, conductor.
