In 1970, internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer and arts patron, Ruth Page, along with master teachers Larry and Dolores Long, created a school of dance where artistic pursuits could thrive. Having just celebrated 50 years of service to the Chicago community, the historic Ruth Page Center (RPC) still provides: world-class dance and fitness classes for people of all ages and abilities; a 218-seat theater for professional dance and theatrical performances; office spaces for In-Residence arts organizations; and subsidized studio, theater and office rental for nonprofit performing arts companies. Ruth Page Center is home to dedicated students of all ages and abilities and is a comfortable meeting and workspace for many in the arts community. The thousands of artists and arts patrons that make up the RPC community, gather in RPC spaces each year to work, perform, choreograph, perfect a skill, see a performance, or focus on their personal wellness.
