Among the most enduring pianists ever to win the Van Cliburn, Nakamatsu has, for three decades, drawn critical and  public acclaim for his intensity, elegance, and electrifying performances. “One of the greatest pianists of our generation who embodies the rare tradition of ‘Golden Age’ pianism, and an extraordinary human to boot,” says Dean John Milbauer. “Jon Nakamatsu is an ideal artist to showcase at DePaul.”
