The Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC) at Moraine Valley Community College opened its doors in January 1994 to be a symbol of the college’s and community’s shared commitment to the arts. The mission of the FPAC is to enrich the members of the college community by providing opportunities for people of all ages to experience and grow through the arts, and it prides itself as a showcase for performances, a catalyst for the development of emerging artists, a center for academic preparation for two-year degrees and transfer programs, and a resource for all who love the arts and want to learn more.
The Performing Arts Series brings world-class, award-winning artists to Moraine Valley for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery features local, national and international artists, and provides a platform for our talented art students to showcase their artistic pieces at the annual juried show. The FPAC is home to seven academic music ensembles that collectively perform 22 concerts, and academic theater performs four productions including the annual summer Shakespeare Under The Stars.
