The Remember Balloons

Experience the heartwarming story of memory, family, and the magic of imagination in The Remember Balloons, a 60-minute dance production based on the children’s novel by Jessie Oliveros. James’s Grandpa treasures balloons that hold memories of loved ones, adventures, and special moments including a silver balloon from a fishing trip with James. But when the balloons begin to float away, James must learn to hold onto them in a new way and share these precious memories with others. Directed and choreographed by Dominic Moore-Dunson with original score by Theron Brown, recognized in Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” for 2023, this enchanting production brings the story to life with theatrical dance, digital projections, and voiceover narration. An original score by Theron Brown adds depth and emotion, creating a beautifully immersive experience for audiences of all ages.
