Trap Door Theatre’s 30th Anniversary Closes with Olwen Wymark’s splendid dramatization of Zola’s Nana: a story of sexual and financial greed in nineteenth-century Parisian society, depicting the rise and tragic downfall of a young courtesan.

Managing Director Nicole Wiesner and Resident Choreographer Miguel Long team up again to direct this reimagination, first produced at Trap Door in 2002.

Written by Olwen Wymark

Based on the Novel by Emile Zola

Directed by Miguel Long and Nicole Wiesner

The cast includes Raúl Arámbula, Dan Cobbler, Beck Damron, Eddy Karch, Emily Lotspeich, David Lovejoy, Emily Nichelson, Tia Pinson, Amber Washington, and featuring Maryam Abdi as Nana.

The production team includes Merje Veski (Scenic Designer), Rachel Sypniewski (Costume Designer), Richard Norwood (Lighting Designer), Danny Rockett (Music Composer/Sound Designer), Kayci Johnston (Stage Manager), Zsófia Ötvös (Make Up Designer), Ember Sappington (Dramaturg), Michal Janicki (Graphic Designer), and Genevieve Corkery, Caleb Lee Jenkins, Isabella Moran, and Jacqui Touchet (Understudies).
