Adams Theatre Company, a not-for-profit theatre organization that originated in New Jersey, is thrilled to bring their high energy and passion towards developing and nurturing new work to Chicago with their premiere playwriting festival 'New Year, New Works' running January 9 - January 10, 2026 at Theater Wit. After opening submissions to local playwrights in the greater Chicago area, and both established or emerging, the Adams Theatre Co. team selected from dozens of submissions, ending on seven original plays to be presented as produced staged readings over the course of the weekend. Each play is widely different in genre and subject matter, allowing for an entertaining and diverse exploration into the world of contemporary playwriting.

Welcome to the Unity and Hope Conference. A gathering of the most persecuted, tortured, and misunderstood people in the entire world. They call themselves Targeted Individuals, and they are victims of a vast and covert program of systematic torture, surveillance, and harassment by global intergovernmental powers. Over the course of this weekend in the woods they will discuss strategies to take down the deep state, bring awareness to their plight, and despite their suffering, stay human.
